Migrol scales its partner network without opening up the core
How Migrol extended S/4HANA capability
When a partner network grows faster than the systems behind it, the easy answer is to hand out more access. Migrol, a leading Swiss energy provider, decided against it. As its network of independent sales partners expanded, the company needed to onboard new vendors without giving them direct access to its SAP S/4HANA environment, and without compromising the clean core principles that keep its systems stable and upgrade-ready.
Working with its longstanding partner Implico, Migrol built a cloud-based extension on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). A Fiori application on tablet acts as a secure buffer: external vendors create and manage their own orders, and the data flows automatically into SAP S/4HANA, where Migrol’s back-office teams review and process it through their standard workflow. Developed between March and October 2025, the solution went live with zero support tickets raised since — a single source of truth preserved, and a partner network that can keep growing.
