Implico showcases pioneering SAP downstream solutions

Implico Transforming Knowledge Into Value Best PracticesWhen the Best Practices for Oil & Gas conference opens its doors in The Woodlands, Texas, from 12 to 15 September 2016, the international SAP user community will be discussing one topic above all: the digital transformation in the industry. International software and consulting company Implico will be on hand to advise companies on digital transformation processes. In addition, Implico will showcase SAP standard solutions for the downstream industry, including SAP SDM (Secondary Distribution Management for Oil & Gas) and SAP RFNO (Retail Fuel Network Operations).


The oil and gas industry is on the verge of a major transformation that brings up a key question: What strategies and concepts are useful for companies preparing for a digital future? Numerous SAP users from the industry will consider this question when they meet up at Best Practices for Oil & Gas to discuss specific processes and ideas that address change in the value chain and the ways companies can best leverage the advantages for their business. Well-known oil and gas companies will provide insight into their strategies and best practice projects in a series of presentations and workshops. In turn, leading technology providers will present their solutions for reducing costs and increasing efficiency in the industry.

Standard solutions for the downstream sector

At the conference, Implico will showcase forward-looking SAP solutions for the downstream sector that efficiently automate the entire oil and gas process chain and network the relevant market participants. The downstream experts are pursuing the “Connected Fuels” strategy together with SAP and developing pioneering solutions: Users can manage and optimize the entire order-to-cash process in downstream companies with the standard SAP SDM software package. The SAP RFNO solution enables service station operators to monitor and manage all cash and volume flows in their networks.

Implico customer automates Canadian service station network

As a special highlight of the event, Implico customer Pierre-Olivier Dufresne, CIO of Canadian service station operator F. Dufresne Group, offers an insight into the power and capabilities of SAP systems. Using a combination of SAP components and the SAP SDM and SAP RFNO downstream solutions, the company was able to digitally transform its business model by automating the vast majority of processes in its service station network. The project, which is currently undergoing integration testing, has been coordinated and overseen by Implico from strategy consulting to implementation.
