Implico to highlight process optimization for downstream businesses at SAPPHIRE® NOW

24 April 2012

Key points of focus at the Implico booth to include timely oil replenishment using apps and meaningful visualization of KPIs

Implico today announced it will exhibit in booth 2417b in the SAPPHIRE® NOW conference, being held May 14-16 in Orlando, Florida. Implico will focus on efficient downstream processes in the oil and gas industry. The consulting and software company will present many new developments to conference attendees, including the new 5.0 version of the SAP-endorsed business solution OpenTAS, an app to ensure timely oil and gas replenishment and driver integration with SAP® applications.

SAPPHIRE-12-300x75-en.jpgImplico will highlight the SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution package, focusing on mobility and real-time data transfer. It will also present a live demo of its IDM (Integrated Dispatch Management) solution, which will show the complete workflow from order acceptance to automated tour optimization and final confirmation – all in real-time. One highlight will be on driver integration with the SAP ERP application via a mobile device, such as an iPhone or iPad. This not only enables timely confirmation of the actual delivery data but means drivers can bill the customer directly after delivery.

At SAPPHIRE NOW, Implico will also premiere “Refill Me!”, a mobile version of its Continuous Product Replenishment (CPR) application. Oil and gas dealers that have deployed SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution, as well as Implico´s add-on CPR, can use Refill me! to simplify tank replenishment for their customers. The system generates an automated notification for the customer in advance before supplies run out. The application is used to enter the purchase order, which is then fed directly into the SAP solution.

For terminal management and service station replenishment, Implico will showcase OpenTAS, a leading terminal management and distribution system. OpenTAS is the only solution endorsed by SAP in this segment worldwide and is integrated with SAP processes. At SAPPHIRE NOW, Implico will showcase features that enable automated service station replenishment and efficient tank farm management. Implico will also present OpenTAS 5.0, available since January 2012. The KPI reporting feature is yet another highlight of what Implico will present at the show. It provides key management figures such as individual tank capacity utilization using a graphical format that is both clear-cut and updated in real-time. This capability marks a major step forward in transparency, especially for tank terminal operators and refineries.
