OpenTAS – More than Automation

21 February 2008

Implico demonstrates IT-solutions at the StocExpo, Rotterdam

The Implico Group will be represented at the StocExpo, booth no. 49/50, under the motto „More than Automation”. The international consulting- and software company will be providing information regarding the latest developments of the administration- and automation solution, OpenTAS. This includes, among others, the innovative OpenTAS Portal, as well as the high performance function for the efficient loading of tank wagons. The new release of the compact out-of-the-box loading software TTS700 and the enhanced security check with the HandKey-functionality for biometrical access control are also included.

One of Implico’s highlights is the OpenTAS Portal. This module ensures that data from different tank farms are joined in one central system. This allows for convenient company-wide administration and a significant, extensive reporting. Through OpenTAS, data communication to ERP systems like SAP takes place, as well as communication with the different partners.

The consultants will also be presenting the new tank wagon module, OpenTAS KWG 4.0. At one of the workstations the complete tank wagon process will be simulated, from the entrance until the exit, including the weighing and preparation of all the necessary data packets and documentation for the addresser, addressee and the Railroad Company.

Another highlight is the improved version of the TTS700. The cost-efficient system for the loading of trucks is extremely quick and easy to implement. TTS700 is developed in close co-operation with the company FMC Technologies and is delivered bundled with their hardware Smith Meter microLoad.net. The new version also offers a special connection to Accuload.net through a TCP/IP connection.

Implico will also present the enhanced version of the biometrical access control HandKey, which was especially developed for depots and refineries. The identification and security controlling is carried out through hand scanners, card readers and webcams. The solution can now also be applied to other groups of people and controls the entering as well as the leaving of premises, like this, the operator is informed at all times who is currently on the premises.
